Ginger, also known as ginger root, is used in Asian cuisine, but also during the cold season and to treat travel sickness. Our ginger has been carefully dried to high quality standards and cut into manageable cubes. To mitigate the ginger's natural spiciness, the ginger pieces have been lightly sugared. Our ginger pieces are unsulfured. The dried ginger is suitable as a cough drop or as a snack between meals. The ginger pieces can also be infused with hot water to enjoy an invigorating and refreshing ginger tea. Ginger pieces are also a great help for seasickness and nausea.

Characteristics:
1. Nutrients:
• Gingerol: The main component of ginger, gingerol, has anti-inflammatory properties and is often used to aid digestion and relieve nausea and stomach upset.
• Vitamin C: Dried ginger contains small amounts of vitamin C, which acts as an antioxidant and strengthens the immune system.
• Minerals: Ginger provides potassium, which is important for fluid balance and muscle and nerve function. It also contains small amounts of magnesium and iron.
• Fiber: Dried ginger contains fiber, which aids digestion and supports intestinal health.
- Added sugar: Because ginger is often treated with sugar or sugar syrup for the "sweet" version, it contains added sugar, which increases the calorie content and significantly alters the flavor. The sugar masks the spiciness of the ginger, making it a sweet treat.
- Flavor: Dried sweet ginger has an intense, sweet, and spicy flavor. The natural spiciness of ginger is less pronounced due to the sugar treatment, but remains noticeable. The flavor is a blend of typical ginger spiciness and a pleasant sweetness that enhances the intensity of the fruit.

Allergens:
• Ginger: Ginger and dried ginger are not generally common allergens, but reactions may occur in people who are allergic to spices or certain plant species.
• Sugar: Added sugar can be problematic for people with sugar intolerance, diabetes, or those trying to reduce their sugar intake. Pay attention to how much sugar has been added.

Uses of dried sweet ginger:
- Snacks: Dried sweet ginger is a delicious, spicy snack perfect for on-the-go. It offers a sweet yet spicy flavor combination and is a nutritious alternative to other sweets.
- Baking: Dried sweet ginger can be used in cookies, muffins, cakes, and other desserts. The combination of ginger and sweetness goes perfectly with baked goods and can add an extra exotic touch to dishes.
- Muesli or yogurt: You can add dried ginger to muesli or yogurt to add a spicy and sweet flavor component.
- Smoothies: Dried sweet ginger can be incorporated into smoothies to add a spicy depth to the drinks, especially when combined with tropical fruits such as mango or pineapple.
- Teas and beverages: Dried ginger is great for adding a sweet, spicy note to teas or hot water. It's a soothing option, especially during cold weather or to support the immune system.
- Decoration: You can use dried sweet ginger to decorate desserts or cakes. The dried pieces not only add flavor to the dishes, but also an interesting texture and appearance.
7. Energy bars: In homemade muesli bars or energy balls, dried ginger provides additional spice and an interesting combination of sweet and spicy.
